Influenster: Lancome Voxbox Review

Influenster: Lancome Voxbox Review

I was excited to receive my voxbox in the mail, simply because it was my first ever voxbox. And today’s post, you’ll be able to see the products I received along with reviews.

When I received it in the mail, I immediately thought of Kylie because the box looked similar to Kylie’s. But it was labeled with Influenster so I knew right away it was from influenster.

I wish the box came in a safer, more packaged way because anyone can easily open this box up, take the items, and put the box back. I wish it was carefully packaged but nonetheless, I still received my items. The items were packaged in red tissue paper, which I thought was cute.

The items in the box are Visionnaire Yeux – Eye On Correction, Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover, Definicils Mascara, Drama Liqui-Pencil in Noir Intense and Ampoule. It also came with a sharpener for the pencils so that was pretty cool to have.

The first product I used was the Eye on Correction – it was soft. I have combination skin – extremely oil on my T zone but dry under my eye bads. Putting it on my eye bags wasn’t necessarily bad. I think if you have sensitive skin, it might “burn” a little. I have sensitive combination skin so it burned my under eyes just a tad – if your skin isn’t sensitive, it most likely won’t “burn” you. But it was soft and easy to apply on. I didn’t have a problem with it besides the little burning – but the burning went away after I smoothed it on my skin.

I have yet to use the Ampoule color but I did use the Drama Liqui-Pencil in Noir Intense. It was easy to apply. I tried doing my normal wings but it wasn’t working out for me. The pencil isn’t thin enough to allow me to do a thin wing look but that’s probably because I’m so used to using liquid eyeliner that I’m not too familiar with using pencils. I ended up doing a heavy eyeliner look. I was surprised to see that it didn’t smudge. Whenever I used pencils for my eyeliner, it would smudge right away and with this, it didn’t. The color is black and dark which I absolutely love for my eyeliner. I went through the entire day with this heavy eyeliner look and it didn’t smudge AT ALL. It didn’t smudge on my eyelids not even a little. I put this eyeliner on my waterline and it smudged a tiny bit but it was only noticeable if you were right in front of my face, examining my makeup so if you were to glance at me or stare at me five feet away, you wouldn’t have noticed that it smudged. Overall, I really like this eyeliner and do plan on buying it after I’m done using it.

The mascara – Definicils Mascara in Black 01 – I heard great reviews of this so I was excited to try it out. I honestly like how this does not make my eyelashes clumpy. I got so excited and put literally 10 coats of this mascara and it still was not clumpy, which was great! It does come out in black so that’s good too for anyone who wants black eyelashes. I already have black eyelashes so it didn’t make a difference for my eyelashes but if you have naturally light eyelashes and apply this mascara, it will show. It’s great for not being clumpy and the color is black and dark. HOWEVER, it did nothing for my eyelashes. I have short, thin eyelashes that are barely noticeable. You can’t even see my lashes even if you were two feet away from my face. You’d have to literally be IN my face to see my eyelashes and with this mascara, it did nothing. It didn’t make my eyelashes thicker or noticeable, which was disappointing. I have a hard time finding mascaras that make me look like I actually have lashes and was disappointed that this mascara was one of those mascaras that did not work for me. If you’re in the same boat as me, this mascara is not worth it. If you have longer lashes, it’ll work for you. It’ll make your lashes thicker but if you have thin, short lashes like me, it wouldn’t make a difference. I did put mascara on my bottom lashes. First coat didn’t make a difference but after 5 coats, you were able to see my lashes! The mascara worked for my bottom lashes because you were able to see it even two feet away from my face (just not at a far distance though). I noticed that the mascara didn’t last me through the day, though. It lasted on my bottom lashes, but for my top lashes, it was practically all gone even with the amount of coats I put on. I touched my eyelashes and noticed that there was literally NO product on them. I put TEN COATS on my eyelashes and it STILL didn’t last throughout the day! Overall, I didn’t like the mascara. It worked for my bottom lashes but did nothing for my top lashes. I like how it doesn’t get clumpy no matter how many coats I put on.

At the end of the night, I used Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover. I’m guessing it’s a travel-sized product. I used my fingers/hands to remove my eyeliner. I don’t recommend doing that because it obviously gets all over your hands. But I like how I was able to easily remove the product, though. It didn’t burn my eyes or my skin! It felt very soft and worked like a charm! However, when I used a cotton swab with it to remove my eyeliner, it was difficult for me. It took longer for me to remove my eyeliner with a cotton swab than it did with my hands and toilet paper. My overall opinion is that I like the remover. Soft for my skin and didn’t burn me at all! Easy to remove my eye makeup (with my hands and paper towels). Just wished it came with a towelette or a sponge so that I didn’t have to use my hands, a cotton swab or tissues. Overall, I was pretty pleased. I was able to remove my Drama Liqui-Pencil eyeliner even with the amount I put on. I even used a liquid eyeliner with a different mascara the next time, and this product still was able to remove them both completely. Love this product and do plan on buying it!

The sharpener worked well. I was easily able to sharpen my eyeliner pencil so I didn’t have a problem with it whatsoever. No matter how much I sharpened, the eyeliner didn’t clump inside the sharpener or stay stuck in it, so that’s a plus!

Overall, I would say the Lancome Voxbox is a 7/10. I would say that I’m satisfied with this voxbox!

Thank you! And I totally recommend it – just make sure to use a sponge, way better than cotton swabs!
