Ipsy: May Review

Ipsy: May Review

I was excited about this month’s ipsy bag.

When I saw how this month’s ipsy bag was going to look like, I was excited. This bag is definitely different but I love it! I love how it’s see-through because I’m able to see what’s in my bag and I won’t have a hard time finding things. The design is so cute. I adore it.

The 5 products in this month’s ipsy bag are Caked Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key, Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-in Conditioning Spray, Starlooks Artist Edition – Luxe Longwear Star Stamp + Liner Pen, Urbay Decay Afterglow in Sin, and IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara in Black.

I first used the Caked Makeup Lip Fondant in Low Key. This color is like a light pink shade. Pink is my favorite color so I was absolutely happy about receiving it! But it is a light pink shade and light pink shades do not look good with my skin color, but I didn’t mind. This liquid lipstick is a matte finish. It’s not drying whatsoever. It was moisturizing and I didn’t even feel the liquid lipstick on me that I forgot it was on! It was super easy to apply and it dried quickly without making my lips dry! And it doesn’t transfer that much either. I ate and drank and I didn’t even have to reapply! I love this lipstick and think you would love it, too. I love lipsticks where I don’t have to reapply and this is it! It was a little streaky but nothing too bad or negative. I still love this liquid lipstick. I give this a 9/10!

I then used the Starlooks Artist Edition – Luxe Longwear Star Stamp + Liner Pen. I did not use the star stamp but I did use the liner pen. For those of you who don’t know this, liner pens NEVER work on me and this surprisingly worked so well on me! It didn’t even smudge and it was SO EASY to apply. It dried quickly as well. I adore this pen and will continue to use, and will buy it once I’m done with it. It’s also in black and dark. Every liner pen I use always comes out as gray, but this one came out in black without smudging! I adore this pen. I give this a 9/10!

I then used the IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara in Black. This mascara does not smudge whatsoever. A lot of the mascaras I use are always clumpy or smudges on my bottom lids. This does not! This gave my eyelashes a little umph! It volumized my eyelashes and made them thicker. My eyelashes were still short and not as noticeable, but it did make them thicker without making it too clumpy. I give this an 8/10.

I used the Urbay Decay Afterglow in Sin and I adore it. The color works amazing on my skin. I don’t even have to apply too much and the glow is still there! Honestly, it felt like I was blinding people. The glow is amazing and noticeable. It pulls my makeup together and I will continue to use this highlighter. I totally recommend this. It is absolutely amazing. It’s pigmented and it will make you GLOW. 10/10.

I finally used Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-in Conditioning Spray. I used this after I took a shower. To be honest, this spray didn’t really do anything for me. It’s supposed hydrate and tame my frizzy hair, but it didn’t. I have dry, frizzy, damaged hair and this spray didn’t help. It didn’t hydrate my hair. But it did help to untangle my hair a bit. I spray this on and combing my hair was easier after. I have very tangled hair and when I sprayed this on, I somehow didn’t have a problem combing it after. Maybe it’s just my hallucination or maybe this is magic, but it did help to untangle my hair. The scent was nice. There was a decent scent and it smelled pretty good! I’d give this a 5/10.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my ipsy bag this month. I give this an 8/10.
