Travel With Me To: Our Miami Hotel

Our hotel room in Miami at The Savoy got upgraded for free!

We tried to check in 3 hours before check in time but we were told that the room wasn’t ready yet for another hour but we can upgrade for an extra $45 a night. We said no, left and came back an hour later. The guy at the front desk thought we were getting upset and annoyed so he upgraded us to that room he tried to sell us FOR FREE. We weren’t even upset – we literally just wanted to check in, haha. But we’re not complaining.

Our hotel room has a view of the pool, but we had to be careful of when we change because people from the other hotel could probably see us. It’s pretty much a suite. It’s a one-bedroom suite with a king sized bed and everything included – living room, kitchen, utensils, microwave, refrigerator, etc.

We didn’t like how the bathroom was IN the bedroom. Aren’t bathrooms supposed to be located in the hallway or outside of the bedroom? We thought that was a little weird, but there was a huge tub in there and a separate shower.

The suite itself was beautiful. We didn’t like a few placements like the bathroom and how there wasn’t a full length mirror in the living room, but we thought the hotel room was beautiful.

One thing we didn’t like about the hotel was that the wifi was slow. It was annoying! I got so annoyed that I just used my own data because it was taking too long to load websites, etc. And the hot water wasn’t even hot. It was still cold, so I was a little annoyed. I understand it’s humid out in Miami but I take hot showers no matter the weather! AND the bed was uncomfortable. I woke up with a bad back and neck pains every morning so I was definitely disappointed and upset about the bed. My neck hurt, not insanely bad, but it still hurt.

Other than those three things, we did genuinely like the hotel. I’d give it a 4/5.

Despite some of the negatives, sounds like a decent hotel to stay in. Thanks for sharing your review. xo, M
