Floral Maxi Dress

Floral Maxi Dress

Summer is the perfect time for florals and maxi dresses.

My maxi dress is from a small boutique in Oklahoma called POSH. This dress is absolutely beautiful. When I saw this on their site, I had to get it. The colors are absolutely beautiful and of course, it’s in my favorite color – pink. I am a sucker for all things pink so I fell in love with this dress the second I saw it.

I’m pretty short so maxi dresses are always long on me. This dress sank to the floor when I wore it, but I personally didn’t mind. I wore this outfit to a birthday BBQ and where we were, I didn’t really have to worry about dirt or grass, so it didn’t bother me one bit that my dress swept the floor. I always have a habit of holding and picking up my maxi dress whether they sweep the floor or not. The material is pretty thick so I didn’t have to worry about my underwear line showing, which is perfect! Plus, it’s a short-sleeves dress so the fabric didn’t make me sweat or die of a heatstroke. It was just perfect for summer! It’s also not too tight on me like a midi dress. It was flowy, easy to put on and easy to take off. I wear midi dresses once in a while but I prefer maxi dresses because they’re more loose and just my taste. I personally love the space of a maxi dress because it’s easier to move around in them. I could’ve altered my dress but I decided not to because the length honestly didn’t bother me.

My favorite part about this dress is definitely the fact that it’s off the shoulders. Off the shoulder tops and dresses are in this summer. I’ve been obsessed with them, so the fact that this dress is off the shoulders was another reason why I liked it so much. It gives off a great summer vibe and I think this dress is perfect for any summer occasion, whether it’s for a BBQ, a picnic, a day out in the city, etc.

Of course, my entire outfit is PINK. I wore pink lipstick to match the darker pink colors of the dress. I also threw on my pink watch from Jord (post coming soon) and I know, it’s a lot of pink but I personally love styling different shades of the same color, so in this case, different shades of pink. And I think it looked perfect!

My shoes are not pink, thankfully. They’re beige because you’re right, it is A LOT of pink, so I decided to wear a beige/brown/tan colored shoes to offset the pink. I could’ve worn wedges to make the dress not sweep the floor, but like I stated already, the length didn’t bother me. I personally love the length and am happy about my dress.

My dress is from Posh Tulsa. They have so many beautiful trendy clothing for all ages. You’ll be able to find numerous items of your liking. Give their site a look and let me know what you think of them. 🙂

DISCLAIMER: This dress was gifted to me by POSH but all opinions are of my own and as always, completely honest.
