Ipsy: March Review

My March Ipsy bag came a little later because of the snow.

But I’m obsessed with this bag. I love the color and I love how I can fold the bag in half. It’s so cute and I’ve been using it for my essentials because I’m just obsessed with the color. I think it’s a cute design and the color makes it even better.

The five items I received in this ipsy bag are Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Mini, tarteist™ quick dry matte lip paint in vibin (not shown), Marc Anthony True Professional Deep Repair Aloe Vera & Jasmine Oil Deep Repairing Conditioning Treatment, mPrincess Pressed Eyeshadow in Chestnut & VASANTI COSMETICS Professional Contour Eyeshadow Brush.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Mini says to only use one or twice a week, so I did. It has a small scent to it but nothing to strong. I thought it smelled like lemons, but I wouldn’t trust my nose because I’m not good at scent. I was nervous about using this because I’ve used other products from this brand and it BURNED my skin, but this surprisingly didn’t. It didn’t hurt my skin nor was it hard to apply. I damped my face and proceeded with instructions and had no problem whatsoever. It did make my skin a little softer after. I’ll be using this again just to see if there are any improvements with my skin.

I used tarteist™ quick dry matte lip paint in vibin and it dries within a minute. When I first applied it, it was creamy and moisturizing. It took about a minute to dry and I love the color. It’s somewhat of a pink color and I’m biased, so I love anything pink. It doesn’t feel dry on my lips whatsoever and it does not transfer that much. I ate bantem bagels from Starbucks and drank a hot drink and it didn’t even transfer that much. It’s not drying like most matte liquid lipsticks, but it’s not creamy after it dries. I love how it doesn’t transfer as much and I absolutely adore the color. I think it’s very pigmented and not streaky like some of my other liquid lipsticks.

Marc Anthony True Professional Deep Repair Aloe Vera & Jasmine Oil Deep Repairing Conditioning Treatment is what I used at night when I showered. I shampooed my hair but didn’t condition it. After I shampooed my hair, I used this product. It didn’t have a scent so you don’t have to worry about a strong odor. It was easy to use, easy to apply and easy to wash off. I noticed my hair was softer the next day, so I’ll definitely be using this product again since I do have colored hair.

mPrincess Pressed Eyeshadow in Chestnut is a shimmery brown eyeshadow. I used it after putting primer and didn’t really use any other colors with it. I wanted to see the shimmer so I only had this eyeshadow on and you can definitely see it! I love the shimmery color and the sparkles and I’m excited to use it with other colors and see how well it works!

VASANTI COSMETICS Professional Contour Eyeshadow Brush is the brush I used to apply the eyeshadow and I didn’t have any complaints. The bristles didn’t fall off and it was easy to apply the eyeshadow, easy to use, easy to wash. I definitely recommend it even for intense eye makeup. It hasn’t disappointed me yet!

Overall, I was very satisfied with this month. I’d give this month a 9/10.
