I typically never wear bright colors but I decided to give it a try.
I try to stay away from colors like orange and yellow because I personally don’t think they look good with my skin tone. However, I decided to break out of my comfort zone because fashion is supposed to be fun! Fashion is about experimenting and making the most of what you have so I decided to go for it.
My top is from Forever 21. It’ fits me perfectly on my arms and shoulders. The look in general is supposed to be peplum so it’s supposed to be loose at the bottom. I love peplums. I think they make any simple outfit look even better. This outfit is really simple but the color and the shirt itself dresses up the outfit. The sleeves kept me warm at my workplace. The color is somewhat tangerine or orange if you want to call it that. A few people said they have never seen me wear orange before so that’s how you know you don’t wear a color too often! But I’m trying to break out of my comfort zone and try different things. Plus, I think orange is a fun color for fall so this color is gorgeous in general. I absolutely love this shirt and love that it wasn’t too tight on my stomach, as you know that I’m insecure about my stomach. But I love this shirt and totally recommend peplum shirts.
I paired this top up with beige/nude pants. I wanted the pants to be in the same color category somewhat and I think beige/nude goes really well with orange. I know in pictures, the color looks light gray or white but that’s because I wear these pants so much that washing it changed the color. It was originally nude/beige. These pants are one of my favorites because they’re stretchy and “pull up” pants. I don’t have to worry about zipping my pants or unbuttoning them. I can just pull them over and they fit me so perfectly.
I wore white flats that are not shown in these photos but you’ve probably seen them in my past outfit photos. I think white looks perfect with beige and orange, so that’s why I wore white flats. Also, I wanted my top to be my statement piece and I think I did a great job with it since everyone notice my top mostly!
