College Fashion Week Recap

On Saturday, I attended College Fashion Week in Boston.

Primark & Her Campus invited me to Boston’s College Fashion Week at the Royale and so, I invited my sister and best friend to come with me.

I was told to arrive by 5PM for VIP. Unfortunately, we left right at 5 because we were running late and didn’t make it until 5:45 because of traffic and trouble finding parking. We drove around to try to find street parking but failed. We ended up parking at the parking garage across the street from the venue. The only reason we didn’t park there in the beginning was because parking was $25! I texted my campaign manager that I was late and she was cool with it. I texted her when I got in line and she got out and got us. She was super sweet and pretty, too! I was so nervous that they were going to get mad at us for being late but they were so fine with it.

Our goodie bags! Our goodie bags!

After, we got our 21+ wristbands, we went upstairs and checked in. That’s when I was shocked. After we checked in, they got us TWO BAGS of goodies. I was not expecting that at all. I thought we were just getting a little gift bag, but instead, TWO gift bags. I literally asked, “Wait, this is for us?” And they laughed and said, “Of course!” We were all shocked that we were getting spoiled.

We went inside for the main attraction and there were a few booths there. There was also a booth giving out free cookies and cupcakes. We went straight to the food. Then, we went to my Primark booth because I’m being sponsored by them! Unfortunately, I did not meet the Primark managers. I said hi to a person thinking she worked for Primark but she ended up being another influencer, haha. Because Primark is headlining College Fashion Week, I assume all of the brand managers were behind the stage getting ready. So we just took photos at the Primark booth. They were giving away free scarves and compact mirrors, so of course, I took a couple, haha. And then we went to a couple other booths where we got even more FREE stuff. I think it’s because it was still VIP hour so free things go to the influencers. We also were given a badge to wear that said “press” so it made us feel legit and official. We went to Ulta and one of the managers there just handed us a makeup bag with makeup in it along with an eyeshadow palette. We were just like, “Holy!” We did not expect this at all. My best friend even got a free curling ironer. We were just shocked that we were handed free things. We walked around for a bit and then decided to find a seat.

We decided to sit upstairs because the view was better. Plus, it’s 21+ upstairs with alcohol! We went upstairs, picked a place to put our bags, bought some drinks and then went back downstairs. We just walked around the booths, said hi and took some free goodies before the general public came in. They were also giving out free water and sparkling water, too!

My sister even got her hair done at ULTA! I didn’t want to wait in line so only my sister got her hair done. There was a photobooth for us to take photos but we were impatient and didn’t want to wait, so we just walked around some more and took some free chips and cookies. Their cookies were so delicious.

The fashion show started at 7:45. There were 4 different brands showcasing their fall outfits. Primark was the headline so they were last and my god, their styles were amazing. I saw a few of them already at the Downtown Crossing location in Boston but the fashion show made me want to go back and shop till I drop. I loved most of the outfits. I’m not going to show all of the outfits, just a few that I like. I hope you guys like the outfits too and go shopping at your nearest Primark!

I had a total blast. My sister and best friend had fun, too. I don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting this AT ALL. The entire time I was like, “I can’t believe I’m here.” It was so much fun walking around, saying hi to everyone and just looking at everyone’s beautiful outfits. It was so much fun. And I loved seeing all of the outfits from all four brands. I think the show ended around 8:45, so it wasn’t too late.

Thank you Primark so much for inviting me and allowing me to invite my sister and best friend.

ALSO, Primark is having Student Night this Wednesday at their Downtown Crossing location in Boston. They will be handing out refreshments and a contest for a Primark gift card. Come by for some drinks, to shop and to mingle and have fun! We’ll be there from 5-8PM. If you see me, don’t forget to say hi!
