Zym: Potent 20% Vitamin-C Kombucha Facial Serum Review

I love discovering new brands and products from Palm. Palm always introduces me to new indie or women founded brands and I get so excited to try their products.

The brand that I was introduced to was ZYM. They believe that great health is the key to unlocking each individual’s unique beauty. ZYM is all about crafting all-natural skincare products that nourish the skin back to health with zero toxicity. There are no toxins in the products nor are there any chemically derived ingredients. It’s just a potent extraction of nature’s goodness in every bottle.

For those of you who may not know, ZYM is short for zymology, which is the study of fermentation. Fermentation is when bacteria break down natural substances into potent nutrients. At ZYM, they are all about utilizing fermentation to formulate effective natural skin care products that help you look and feel good naturally.

Their formulas are made from scratch and they extract ingredients from fruits, veggies, and herbs themselves. There are zero synthetic ingredients. They also make their products in small batches to ensure quality, potency, and freshness.

As for the product, I was able to use the Potent 20% Vitamin-C Kombucha Facial Serum. This potent Vitamin-C serum brightens uneven skin tone and age spots while reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores to give you youthfully radiant skin. For those of you who may not know this but Kombucha is known for the health benefits of the probiotics, it kills bad bacteria that causes acne, minimizes damages by free radicals, maintains moisture on skin surface, and boots collagen production.

I use this product once a day in the morning. It has a slight scent but nothing too strong. It smells like Kombucha so if you like Kombucha, you’ll love the scent. At first, the product did irritate my skin. The first time I used it, it stung my skin a little but nothing dramatic and it didn’t hurt exactly. But after the second, third and so forth time, I didn’t even feel the sting at all. So I think if you have sensitive skin, it’ll hurt or sting the first time you use it but in general, I like this serum.

I’ve been breaking out and this serum has helped with my acne to heal it and then to hydrate my skin after. I personally haven’t seen a difference with my wrinkles (I have crow’s feet) but I’ve seen my acne clearing up. I had acne above my eyebrows and in between my eyebrows and this serum is slowly helping to clear it up. My skin feels amazing after I use it. It feels soft and smooth. I do notice that my skin is brightened and radiant throughout the day so I genuinely like the product. I haven’t seen a difference with my fine lines and wrinkles but my skin feels amazing! My acne is slowly clearing so I’m super excited to continue using this product.

For those wondering, ingredients include fermented black tea, vegetable extracted polymer gels, L-Ascorbic Acid (20%), Aloe Vera Gel, Purple Sweet Potato extract, citrus fruit extract, watermelon extract, Honeydew Melon extract, Sunflower Lecithin, Jojoba oil, Flax Seed extract, Chia Seed extract.

DISCLAIMER: This product was in collaboration of ZYM and Palm but all opinions are of my own and as always, completely honest.
