Velvet Romper

I’ve been loving velvet lately.

Summer probably isn’t the best time to wear velvet but I don’t mind. I wear velvet all year round. I just think velvet is such a great fabric and looks great on everyone.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with this velvet romper from Romwe. I have small boobs so the front is definitely low on me but thankfully, I didn’t have any nip slips. I love the low cut of this romper and I love how it looks like a dress! My sisters all thought it was a dress but nope, it’s a romper! The bottom is loose so I don’t have to take my romper off completely to use the bathroom. I can pull the shorts to the side and do my business. It’s so convenient and I just love the look of it. I think it’s a great length and I am obsessed with the back. It exposes my back completely and the straps are criss-crossed, but I love it! It’s so comfortable to wear and to be honest, I wasn’t that hot wearing it. I totally recommend this romper. It’s so comfortable and looks like a dress. You can dress it now or dress it up! And I am obsessed with the color. I love maroon and when I saw this romper, I just had to get it. Maroon is a perfect color for everyone.

I wore sandals with this outfit instead of flats. I love the metal/silver of the sandals and I think it went perfectly well with the outfit. I love the sandals paired up with this romper. I think sandals look the best with rompers.

I wore raybans so that the sandals matched something. I think the sunglasses made the outfit better. I look cooler, haha. But I think it adds a little touch to the outfit and it makes me look even better. Sometimes, sunglasses are all you need to complete an outfit.

I totally recommend this velvet romper. Check it out!

DISCLAIMER: Velvet romper was gifted to me by Romwe but all opinions are of my own and as always, completely honest.

Styling Different Patterns

I like matching different patterns together.

Loft Short Sleeves Button Down (SIMILAR HERE) || Forever 21 Striped Cardigan (SIMILAR HERE) || H&M Pants || 599fashion flats (SIMILAR HERE)

In this post, the patterns aren’t too different from each other but it’s a start. I paired checkers with stripes. I think styling patterns is easy if you stay close to the color scheme. For example, my stripes are navy blue and light pink. So I decided to wear checkers that matched the light pink. I think styling patterns is easy when you know exactly what colors look good together and what doesn’t. Pink and navy blue look great together, hence why I decided to wear stripes and checkers together. And the checkers are really tiny, which made it easier for me style the two together. I think if the patterns are small and not too extravagant, it makes it easier to style. I love that the stripes go horizontally instead of vertically because it makes styling it with checkers look better, or at least in my opinion. I think checkers and stripes just look great together especially when the color schemes match! Pink and navy blue are my favorite go-to color combination.

My checkered shirt is actually a sleeveless button down from Loft. A lot of my clothes are from Loft because that’s usually where I shop for professional clothing. My button down is long and covers my butt somewhat which is what I was going for. I love the collars and I love the fabric. It’s a pretty thick fabric so although it was a sleeveless button down, it still kept me warm. I love Loft clothing and I just totally recommend it for professional wear. I love the checkered pattern of this button down and I love it even more that it is sleeveless. SIMILAR HERE.

My cardigan is a buttoned cardigan from Forever 21. It is way too small on me, I know! The fabric is a little thick but it’s still fairly thin. If I were to wear a full-length sleeves shirt, the outfit would have looked bulky. The sleeves are a little tight but it was stretchy. I liked pairing the sleeveless button down with the cardigan because it made it less bulky. The cardigan gives off a somewhat cropped look. I personally liked that it looked like a cropped sweater because I love the layering look. I love that the sleeveless button down is longer than the cardigan and it just makes the outfit look so much better. SIMILAR HERE.

My pants are from H&M. They’re somewhat like leggings. I wear them all the time. I love that they are stretchy but they do outline my butt a bit, so that’s why I decided to wear a “long” short sleeves button down. I liked that the top covered my butt. I decided to wear black so that my button down and cardigan stood out.

I paired my outfit with white flats to match the white in my checkered shirt. I like the whole color combination of my outfit and think it worked well together. SIMILAR HERE.

Unique Shoulders

I love blazers with a unique shoulder.

Charlotte Russe blazer (SIMILAR HERE) || Loft Button Down size 4 (SIMILAR HERE) || H&M Pants || 599fashion flats (SIMILAR HERE)

I found this blazer at Charlotte Russe over 4 years ago. I saw it and was automatically obsessed with it. I love how the shoulders are just so different. I like wearing blazers with a shoulder pad in them but I also love blazers with a unique shoulder. The shoulders are “crunched up” and ruffled. I like how different they are. I’m used to blazers with a “flat” shoulder and this one has ruffled shoulders. I think it makes the outfit look more fun. And it makes the blazer just look so much more fun, unique and classy. I love the color of this blazer and how unique it is. It’s somewhat like a crop blazer because it is shorter than a lot of my regular shirts. The buttons are fake. They don’t help to button up my blazer. They’re just there for decorations. The sleeves are somewhat long. They go way past my wrists but I like them. It was a little chilly this day so I used the sleeves as a way to keep my hands warm. The material was soft. It wasn’t thick at all so I wore a coat over my outfit to keep me warm. But this outfit did keep me warm in the office. SIMILAR ONE HERE.

My button down is a size 4 in Loft. It is a little big on me, but it still somewhat fit me well. I love the stripes and more importantly, I love the colors of this blazer. I think the colors went perfectly with the blazer. The blazer is a grayish-chambray color and the button down consists of white, black, brown, and pink. These colors match the blazer perfectly. The sleeves are shorter than the blazer but that’s fine with me! I’m obsessed with stripes and I am just in love with this button down. I personally like this button down and blazer together. SIMILAR HERE.

My pants are from H&M. They’re low-rise and pretty tight. Thankfully, my button down was long enough to cover part of my butt, so it wasn’t too entirely inappropriate for work. I love that these pants outline my legs. They make me feel good. And I wore black to offset the gray and the white button down. Obsessed with these pants, but they are somewhat tight on my waist. They are really low-rise so I had to wear a cami underneath my button down and tuck it in so that way, when I bend down, nothing shows.

I wore white flats, as seen in THIS POST. I wore white to match with the button down and the blazer, because white, of course, matches with everything. I wanted my shoes to match with the button down so that’s why I wore white flats. SIMILAR HERE.

Pink Bikini

If you’re reading this post, I’m currently in Miami but this bikini outfit was from last weekend when I went to a casino in CT to celebrate my sisters’ birthdays.

I only went to the casino just for the pool and the Jacuzzi. I’m not much of a gambler and to be honest, I don’t really like to go clubbing (even though I did later this night). After my sisters and I had dinner, we decided to relax in the Jacuzzi and pool. Who swims after a meal? Apparently us! I did rest my eyes for a bit in the Jacuzzi because it was so relaxing. It was nice to finally sit down and relax since we were in a car for 3 hours and shopped for a bit. The bubbles and the hot water just made me want to sleep, so I was a bit tired. But it’s just something about the pool, Jacuzzi and even beaches that I just adore being in the water. Of course, I can’t swim so I have to be in 3 feet water, haha. I know, I love water but can’t swim, doesn’t make sense.

My bikini was from Primark. Pink is my favorite color and when I saw this bikini, I HAD TO BUY IT. The style is so different from all the bikinis I buy and I just love stripes. I’m obsessed with stripes and anything pink. I love the straps because they are supposed to give a “layered” look where you wrap the straps around your body a couple times. I personally don’t mind all the straps and I absolutely adore this bikini. I’ve linked some similar ones below.

Do you guys like going to the casino? What’s your happy spot?

Harlem Pants

I have a thing for harlem pants.

Green Harlem Pants (SIMILAR HERE) || Wet Seal Striped Bodysuit (SIMILAR HERE) || Flats (SIMILAR HERE)

I wear harlem pants to work all the time but I decided to wear them on a casual day out. It was in the 80s last weekend and I absolutely love stretchy pants that I can easily take off and put back on. I wore these harlem pants mainly because I adore the color! I’ve been loving army green for the past month or two. I just think it’s such a fun color to wear and style. My pants were a little see-through but I didn’t mind. The pockets are deep and big and I just think these pants are so fun to style. I totally recommend harlem pants, not just for work but for casual days out, too, or even a fancy night out. There are so many ways to style them! Of course, for this post, I styled them down. I didn’t want to dress fancy or accessorize so I kept it simple. I was in a car for 2-3 hours and went to dinner right after, so it wasn’t for a nice night out! SIMILAR HERE.

My bodysuit is from Wet Seal, seen IN THIS POST. I decided to wear a bodysuit because the pants are somewhat see-through and I didn’t want my underwear to show, so I’d rather have my bodysuit show than my underwear. The colors go perfectly together because well, white and black match everything. I love wearing tight tops with loose pants. I think that’s a great combination and a perfect outfit. SIMILAR HERE.

I paired this outfit with black flats. I wear these flats all the time! You’ll probably see them all summer long because I'm absolutely obsessed with these flats. But they’re super comfortable and easy to take off and put back on. I wore black flats to match with the black stripes. And I think the shoes went perfectly well with the outfit. SIMILAR HERE.

I adore harlem pants and you'll probably see a few more outfits in the future. I just think they're super comfortable and cute to wear. I totally recommend for everyone to own at least one pair of harlem pants. Honestly, I think I owe about 6 and they are all different colors. Harlem pants are just so fun to style!

Do you guys wear harlem pants?
