Harvard We Go

My sister asked me if we can do a photoshoot because she wanted to get better at her photography. She had her DSLR for a few years and probably only used it once or twice, so I agreed to do the photoshoot with her. I also invited my best friend.

Lita recommended us this place, The Arnold Arboretum – it’s located in Jamaica Plains, it’s part of Harvard University, I believe. But this place is beyond gorgeous. It’s a really huge place so going anywhere in this place takes a while to get to. There are a lot of runners, walkers, dog walkers but in general, this place is gorgeous. Gorgeous scenery and even a place to eat and sit down at!

My best friend knows all of my angles so I invited her and plus, she can help my sister with what to do and how to take a picture. She knows how to use my DSLR and knows all of my good sides. She’s also creative and plays with angles. I do the same boring old poses so my best friend recommended a few new ones – a couple I disagreed on because it made me feel awkward and uncomfortable, but some of them did indeed get me out of my comfort zone, which I’m thankful for my best friend for. She definitely knows how to get me out of my comfort zone but without pushing my limits, so thank you to all the new poses I played with!

I originally had a skirt on but switched to pants because I knew I was going to get cold. My sister had shorts on, I really don’t know how she did it because I was cold. There were times when it was hot out but I think it’s because I had a (fake) leather jacket on and it kept me warm. My sister was going for a “Fall Look Photoshoot” so I tried to wear colors that represented Fall. Of course, it didn’t go as plan but nonetheless, I loved my outfit and the shoot was fun!

The skirt before I changed is from Forever 21. Tights are from Forever 21, I think or target. Crop top is from Wet Seal, you’ve probably already seen it from my previous photoshoot. I honestly don’t know where my scarf and leather jacket are from, but my high waisted jeans are from H&M. And I took my sister’s boots so I have no idea where they’re from but they’re comfortable. They’re only one inch heels but they didn’t hurt my feet at all and they’re super soft to touch.
