Barbie Time

Barbie Time

Every time I wear pink, I always feel like Barbie for some reason.

These photos are actually old – they’re from early August. My sisters asked me to come along with them for the weekend because they were getting their engagement photos done (double wedding) so I asked my boyfriend to come, too. I think he’s pretty decent with taking photos since he always takes mine, so I figured he would take some good photos of them as well (and of me because why not!)

We went to Sturbridge, Massachusetts, where their venue is located. They have a hotel right next to the venue so we planned on staying overnight. We spent about an hour trying to find a good location to take their photos.

We finally found a place, Westville Lake Recreation Area, where it was about 5-10 minutes away from the hotel/venue. It was pretty big and roomy. We stayed there for a couple hours to take photos, went back to the hotel and went swimming (priorities).

The next day, I had on a basic outfit but my sisters told me that my outfit was ugly. And then, they handed me this pink dress. It’s pretty loose on me but it fit. I like dresses that tug my body and are tight (to show the little curves in my body) but seeing how sometimes, I get insecure about my stomach, I’m glad it didn’t necessarily tug on me since I do a have a pretty big stomach and I don’t want that to show in pictures. The shoes and dress are both from Forever 21.

We went back to Westville Lake Recreation Area and took a bunch of photos before heading back to the venue and taking more. It was a whole day of pictures! I didn’t mind – my sisters looked gorgeous.

Afterwards, we had an idea to take photos back in Boston so we rushed back. We went to Cambridge and took some photos while we waited for our server to call us that our table was set up for us. My boyfriend and I asked to have our photos taken. They weren’t taken on a DSLR like theirs were but we weren’t there for a photoshoot. We just hadn’t taken photos together in a while so we figured why not have some updated ones. After we took photos, we were on our way to eat. We had ramen and to be honest, I’m not a fan of ramen so I actually didn’t like the place. Did we stop taking photos after we ate? Nope, we went straight to Boston College for more photos! Lots and lots of photos. It was fun to be honest. We just went all around one part of Boston College and just took a ton of photos. After we were done, we were pretty wiped out and decided to call it a day.

Of course, all the photos are of me and my boyfriend (haha)
