I was actually disappointed with the color of the bag. I wanted the bag to be colorful or have a pretty design, so I was disappointed in this month’s bag. BUT I will still continue to use it.
The 5 products I received in this month’s ipsy bag are Manna Kadar Cosmetics Paradise Blush, Rimmel London Lip Conditioning Balm by Kate Moss, Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Desert Sunsent #02, -417 Hand Moisturizer, and IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Anti-Aging Concealer.
The first product I used was the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Anti-Aging Concealer. Opening it out of the bag and using it was pretty easy and self-explanatory. I thought the color was too light for my skin when I first put it on my fingers but I did blend it a lot to make sure it went well with my skin tone. It was easy to blend, easy to apply. It “dried” quickly and I ended up having a smooth matte finish, which was cool and I like that. So, it worked for me at first because it brightened my eyes and hid my dark circles. HOWEVER, after I got out of work, about 6-7 hours later, I noticed that it didn’t cover my dark circles anymore. It creases and my dark circles ended up showing (as seen in the photos, and yes those selfies scare me, too haha). I wouldn’t recommend this for long term use. I think it would be good for a couple hours or for a night out, but definitely not for a full day. My under eye starting creasing and wearing glasses made it worse. It made the product thick and dry on my skin and you can see the patches up close! Definitely do not recommend for long term wear. I like how it was right after I put it on and for the first couple hours, but definitely will not use for work again.
The next product I used was the Rimmel London Lip Conditioning Balm by Kate Moss. I naturally have chapped lips and no matter what liquid lipstick I use, I constantly have dry lips. I used this in the morning before I went to work and it made my lips smooth and soft. And then I applied one of Kylie’s liquid lipsticks over them and it was drying anymore! Her lipsticks tend to be very drying and with this product, I didn’t feel it drying whatsoever. It made my lips smooth, soft and moist. Totally recommend using this before applying any of your liquid lipsticks.
I used the Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Desert Sunsent #02 next. Be careful with this product! After I opened it, the product spilled on me, so that’s definitely a bummer for me! But the color is very light. I thought it was going to be dark because it looked dark in the container but once I applied it on my eyelids, it showed up light. It’s definitely sparkly and I like the nice light color. I recommend for anyone who doesn’t want bright popping colors on their eyelids. You cam probably use this underneath a cool tone or base color but I just put this right on by itself after I put eyeshadow primer on. I think you can wear it as is or with a base color, but I don’t think it entirely matters unless you’re going for a specific color. But I like this color and I didn’t have a problem with applying it. HOWEVER, it did not last me throughout the day, which was disappointing. By the end of my shift, you could barely see the eyeshadow. It was as if the eyeshadow blended in with my skin and you just couldn’t tell if I was wearing eyeshadow or not. It was disappointing because I really liked the color and wanted my eyes to pop out. I know it didn’t because I wear heavy eyeliner but still, the eyeshadow “disappeared” at the end of my shift and you just couldn’t see that I was wearing eyeshadow anymore.
I used the -417 Hand Moisturizer afterwards. I don’t normally have dry hands. Every other part of my body is dry BUT my hands but I wanted to give this a try. It feels super soft and it has a decent smell. It’s nothing unbearable or too strong. It’s a great smell to be honest! I noticed after it dried off, my hands were soft and moist. So even if you don’t have dry skin, definitely use this for softer hands! It definitely helped make my skin smooth, so I totally recommend this.
I finally then used the Manna Kadar Cosmetics Paradise Blush. The product was easy to apply. My brush was able to pick it up easily. I think the color works well with my skin color. It’s more of a subtle blush, and that’s fine with me because I don’t think I can pull off bright colored blushes anyway. It lasted me throughout the day and I think the blush is pigmented. I was able to see the color on my skin but it wasn’t blotchy nor did it make my makeup cakey. I think it’s a decent blush to use and work with!
I’d say, I’d give this ipsy bag a 6/10! Looking forward for next month!
I was only able to find 3 of the products but I have them linked down below!
