Light Colors in Winter

Light Colors in Winter

I never listen to the “rules of fashion” where you shouldn’t wear pastel colors in the winter and how you should wear dark colors in the fall.

I wear bright and/or pastel colors all year round. I’ll wear pastel colors in the fall and winter and dark gloomy colors in the summer. I don’t think seasons fashion should have “rules” of when you should wear something.

With that being said, I decided to wear a light blue/pastel blue color. I have this light blue cardigan that I bought years ago from Ebay. It was only about $8. (SOMETHING SIMILAR HERE.) It’s pretty length and covers my butt. I used to wear a tank top and this cardigan with leggings underneath and that would be it. For this outfit, I kept it professional for work. I love the color of this cardigan. I paired it up with this lighter shade of blue button up from Loft. It is an extra small. It’s light blue and white. (SOMETHING SIMILAR HERE.) I think the cardigan and the button up go with each other very well! I’m obsessed with the button up. The pockets and the colors are just cute and fun! I think these colors are gorgeous to wear all year round because it’s fun and lively.

The pants are from Wet Seal. It’s an extra small and it fits me almost perfectly. (SIMILAR ONE HERE) It’s a little loose on the waist so I do have to pull it up a lot, but it’s soft and stretchy. They’re the regular moleton pants that a lot of people wear. It’s super soft and comfortable. I decided to wear gray to keep the somewhat light color combination. I thought black would be too dark for the light blue and decided to wear gray. I know it’s more of a charcoal gray but I just thought it was better than black pants. They’re also low-cut.

Boots are bought years ago from shiekhshoes. The color is gorgeous and they’re knee length. I wanted to keep the light color combination. It’s suede. I’m obsessed with them. The only problem is that the boots were slippery. I tripped so many times. I definitely would not recommend them for the rain or snow or even shiny floors. My office has shiny floors and it kept making me slip and fall. If you’re walking on wood, you’ll be fine.

Don’t let the seasons be the reason why you don’t wear a certain color. Wear pastel colors in the winter!

Pastel colours don’t work well with my skin tone either but I still wear them! Don’t let it stop you from wearing it!
