Ipsy: June Review

I was excited to receive my ipsy bag!

I love the bag for this month. I think it’s gorgeous and I love the lips on the bag. It totally makes the bag look cuter and I am all for it.

The items I received this month are NYX Professional Makeup Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle, BioRepublic SkinCare Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Fiber Mask & Green Tea Detox Purifying Fiber Mask, City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadow, Skone Cosmetics Insanle Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner, and theBalm Cosmetics INSTAIN Long-Wearing Staining Powder Blush in Pinstripe.

I used the NYX Professional Makeup Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle. I love the color. It’s a light pink shade but I didn’t like it because it transfers. I love matte lipsticks and this was a creamy one that transfers, where you constantly have to reapply. I like how moisturizing it was, though. I give it a 5/10.

I used the BioRepublic SkinCare Aloe Rescue Revitalizing Fiber Mask & Green Tea Detox Purifying Fiber Mask and they both didn’t do anything for my face. It was relaxing, soft and smooth but didn’t really do anything for me. I probably have to use them continuously but for now, I am disappointed. I give this a 4/10.

I used the City Color Cosmetics Shimmer Shadow and I loved it. It’s for a subtle look but it is noticeable and shimmy. My sisters saw it and said they liked it, so it’s mainly for a subtle look, nothing too dramatic. I love the color and I love anything shimmery so I did enjoy using this. It does melt and fade away during hot temperatures, so it was gone and washed off by the end of the day. I give this a 6/10.

I used the theBalm Cosmetics INSTAIN Long-Wearing Staining Powder Blush in Pinstripe and it was a pretty color. It’s for a subtle look, unless you pack on a whole bunch of blush on you. But it did fade away hours later so you might have to put on a lot of blush just to see if it’ll be on the entire day. It didn’t last on my face so I think it faded after 3-4 hours. I give this a 6/10.

Finally, I used the Skone Cosmetics Insanle Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner. I personally liked it because it was easy to use, easy to dry, easy to take off and it’s waterproof. I was in Miami when I used this and the hot weather did not melt my eyeliner and make it fade! It stayed on the entire time and didn’t even smudge. This is great for hot temperatures and for when you’re out and about for a long time. I recommend this. 8/10.

Overall, I wasn’t too satisfied with my products this month, but I’ll continue to use them.
