Another day, another maxi skirt.
I love this black maxi skirt! It’s layered, ruffled and it has a slit! I think the worst part about this dress was that I kept getting caught up in my rolling chair at work. I thought I was going to get up off my chair and my chair would hold onto my skirt and drag it down, making me naked after! I have the weirdest daydreams, haha. But I love this maxi skirt. I love the layered part of my skirt but I had to be careful. The second layer underneath is a bit short so I had to make sure I didn’t flash anyone when I sat down! This dress is perfect and appropriate for work. I think at first glance, you can’t tell that my first layer of the skirt is see-through. When I first wore this skirt last year, I couldn’t even tell that my second layer was short until I stood in the light! No one can tell that it’s super short unless they pay extra attention to the skirt, but no one really does! I had this skirt pulled up to my stomach to kind of make it “high waisted” because the skirt was already long on me and dragging on the floor somewhat. Other than that, the skirt fit my waist and stomach perfectly and I absolutely adore it!
I paired it up with a button up t-shirt. It’s summer so of course, I don’t want to wear long sleeves so thankfully, I have a bunch of short sleeve button downs. This one was perfect for my skirt because I was easily able to tuck it in my skirt without it looking too bulky or weird. I’m obsessed with stripes so of course, the shirt is stripes. It is a bit low-cut but no one at my workplace said anything and it’s not too low, so it’s still appropriate for work!
I paired it up with white flats to match the white parts of my top. Unfortunately, the shoes are not shown!

Yay to maxi skirts. Would’ve loved to see the white flats, though. Also, is the maxi a full skirt, like does it sweep the floor?
It’s about an inch above the floor! But it also depends on how far up I place the skirt! If I placed it on my waist and not above my belly, it would have swept the floor! Next time, I’ll include my flats. 🙂
Love the top! Very pretty!
