I never really got into Kimonos before until recently.
My beautiful kimono was gifted to me by Zaful and I am obsessed. I love anything floral so when I saw this kimono, I knew I had to get it. I love the colors and I just love how cute it looks. It is pretty thin so I definitely recommend this for Spring or Summer, but it’s great for somewhat chilly weather in the Fall as well. It’s lightweight and thin. Sorry that’s wrinkly – my clothes are ALWAYS wrinkly and I don’t have an iron. I absolutely adore the colors and I think it’s a great length. It’s also super soft.
Zaful has a ton of drawstring trench coats, so take a look on their site.
I wore an orange crop top to match with the colors of the Kimono. Orange was one of the colors of the flowers, so I paired it up with this peach-orange like color. It is lacey in the back but I wore this to work and the kimono covered it over. I wore a white camisole underneath because it was a crop top and I didn’t want it to be inappropriate for work. I wore a camisole for extra coverage.
I paired this outfit up with beige/tan pants. They’re from Primark, of course! I know beige and orange may look weird together but I wanted to play around with colors. The best thing about fashion is getting out of your comfort zone and playing with different colors. I wore beige because it does match with the kimono and I wanted to play around with matching with orange. The pants are super comfortable. They’re pull up pants so I didn’t have to worry about zippers or buttons. I just slip into them and I was on my way.
I wore white flats to match with the kimono. I was already wearing an orange color and beige pants so I decided to wear white because not only did it match the kimono, but it matched the rest of my outfit.
How do you guys style kimonos?
