I love intruding in on my sisters’ engagement photoshoots.

They planned an engagement photoshoot with our friend, Lita, and of course, I invited myself. The photoshoot was located in Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, which was about 30-40 minutes away. It was cold this day. I think the temperature was in the 40s. My boyfriend was complaining about the weather and how it was too windy, but honestly, it didn’t really bother me. I think I have a high tolerance for the cold.

We arrived around 9:30AM and it was easy to find parking. We walked all the way to the top of the arboretum and we were able to see the skyline of Boston. I wish it wasn’t so windy because my boyfriend and I kept sniffing and our noses were running. My sister and her fiancé were having their photos taken while I was taking pictures of the place. Then, while one couple was getting their pictures taken, the other couple was taking pictures of me. No matter where I am, everywhere is a photoshoot session for me. Haha.

We walked around the arboretum to find the perfect spot. I think we spent about two hours with this photoshoot and then, we were on our way to dim sum. I was hungry and recommended getting food and then my sister’s fiancé asked if we wanted dimsum.

I was starving. I just kept stuffing my face with food. Our bill ended up being $80, which isn’t too bad for 6 people.

Linna, Lita and I didn’t want to go home yet. The boys all went home but we drove to a cemetery, Forest Hills Cemetery, for our next photoshoot. It wasn’t that creepy at all. And the place was gorgeous and nice fall foliage, so perfect opportunity to take pictures. We were probably there for an hour just driving and walking around for the perfect shot. I did some new poses to help me get out of my comfort zone. But nonetheless, the day was fun!

I layered up for this day. I’m obsessed with wearing dresses even in the cold, so the dress I wore was 50% off from AMICLUBWEAR. It’s gray and pretty loose on me even though it was a small. It’s very roomy and there’s a gold zipper in the front. I didn’t want to pull it down and expose my boobs because I didn’t want to be too cold. But I like how the zipper is gold! I matched it with a black and gold belt. I like how loose fitting the dress is but I wanted to tighten it up because I didn’t want the dress to be too loose on me. The gold part of the belt matched the zipper and the black part of the belt matched my tights. The belt actually came with a different dress but I thought the belt would look nice with this outfit, so I took it. The belt (and the original dress that the belt came with) is from eBay!

I layered up with this cardigan from Wet Seal that I bought back in December 2014 because it was on sale for 60% off. It was comfy and so warm. I have it in gray, as seen in my previous post HERE. It was long enough to almost cover my dress completely, but nonetheless, it was a cute cardigan! It kept me warm and I love the color!

The boots were bought back in December 2013 when I bought it on sale. They’re from RUE21. Their sales are so good! I definitely recommend buying from them. The boots were tight on my toes and I don’t recommend wearing them in the rain or when it rained the previous day. I almost slipped about 10 times. If it’s a regular, nice day, definitely wear these boots. But because it rained in the morning, the ground was slippery and my boots weren’t sturdy enough to hold me down or prevent me from falling. I really liked the color, main reason why I wore them. Gray matches with anything, so I played around with my outfit and decided to wear neutrals/brown tones.

The scarf, I wore purposely to match my boots. I love the design and patterns on it, but unfortunately, I have no idea where it’s from. I think I bought it long ago. It’s a light scarf so it didn’t protect me too much from the wind. I wouldn’t recommend this scarf for harsh winter weather.

The peacoat was bought from a long time ago, but they’re from RUE 21. It’s thick and kept me warm. My other peacoat, seen in THIS POST, that was thinner and much longer, I decided not to wear it because I was layering up and so that peacoat just didn’t fit. If I were to wear it, it would have been tight on me and you’d see all the bulkiness. This peacoat is much bigger, roomier and I’m able to layer up without my outfit looking too bulky. I just wish it was a little bit longer but nonetheless, it kept me warm!

The tights are from Primark. My sisters kept asking me if I was cold since my legs were exposed to the cold and honestly, I wasn’t. I think my body was cold because my knees were numb eventually but in general, I didn’t really mind the wind. I was perfectly fine.

All photos were taken by my sister, LINNA. When Lita sends me her pictures, there will be a part two post! πŸ™‚

I slept in and stuffed my face during the holidays as well! πŸ™‚ Something about the holidays that just makes me feel so nostalgic and happy. You also look so great in all the layers here for Fall! The foliage is so pretty here too.
