Keep It Classy

Keep It Classy

I’m in love with this dress.

I know it’s not your definition of a “classy” dress but I think it’s totally appropriate for a birthday dinner and I don’t think this dress is that revealing either. It’s somewhat like a wrap dress. It came with a little belt that has to be tied in order to make sure the dress doesn’t fall apart or expose my body. When I untied it, I realized it was a little bit of a wrap dress, which is different because I normally don’t wear wrap dresses.

My best friend’s birthday dinner was this day (January 28) and I wanted to dress up for the occasion. I changed twice because I found out that we were going to be walking 10 minutes to the restaurant so I needed something comfortable and bearable for the weather.

This dress is from Rue 21. I’m in love with the color. It’s a berry, somewhat maroon color and it’s gorgeous! It isn’t tight nor does it tug on my body but it gives me somewhat of a figure. I like the low cut of the dress. I think it’s perfectly fine to wear a low cut dress for a birthday dinner. I’m most definitely in love with the “slit”. I wouldn’t consider this a long dress but the only time I wear a long dress is if it has a slit. And even though this isn’t a long dress, I couldn’t say no to this because of the slit! I think it makes the outfit so much better and gives it a better look.

I think the only problem I had was how the fabric wasn’t thick enough to cover my underwear line. As you can see in the photo, my thong line was showing, which sucked, but it’s not too noticeable. It’s only noticeable if you stare long enough and if you tried to look for the line. But other than that, the fabric was soft and stretchy.

The only thing I worried about was accidentally flashing people when I sat down or moved a certain way, but thankfully, that didn’t happen! Absolutely in love with this dress!

I stole the shoes from my sister. It’s a heeled bootie. The heels are thick enough to not hurt my feet after a couple hours so walking in them was absolutely fine. I’m not sure where she got this boots but you can find similar ones at Forever 21, H&M, etc. There’s also a little tassel on the side. I think it’s cute but I wish it didn’t have it for this specific outfit. I don’t think the tassel went with the dress but that’s okay because I was still happy with the outcome!
