Little Pink Skirt

Little Pink Skirt

My sister has her bachelorette party in New Orleans.

Well, technically, it was a surprise. She didn’t know we were going to New Orleans until we got on the flight but we lied to her that it was a layover for our real destination and she believed us! It was all of our first time there. And New Orleans is pretty wild – wild for me because I’m a grandma! Everybody drinks and parties early, like 4PM early and it goes all night/morning until 6AM! I’ll probably make a separate post detailing what we recommend and don’t recommend – a travel guide! But the people in New Orleans were really sweet and relaxed. We’re not used to that in Boston, haha.

Anyway, my sisters all got us little cute hats that say, “Team Bride!” while the bride had a white hat that said, “Bride” with a sash that said “Bride To Be!” Everyone kept thinking it was our birthdays because they couldn’t see what the hat said or didn’t bother to read it. I always responded back with, “She’s a bride to be!!” But they did compliment our hats that they thought it was adorable! There were also so many other bachelorette parties going on! There was a wedding parade and the people in it even invited us to join when they saw my sister was getting married! So cool!

We were going to a Burlesque show so we had to dress up! I wore a pink bodycon skirt – I bought this YEARS ago when I was probably either a first or second year college student so back in 2011-2012. I hoard clothes, guilty! It wasn’t too tight. I wouldn’t consider it bodycon since it didn’t completely outline my body. When I think of bodycon, I think of skin tight and this skirt wasn’t skin tight, but I still adore the color.

I’m wearing a bodysuit. I decided to wear white and black because it matches with pink. I bought my bodysuit back in 2015, maybe early 2016. I love bodysuits, especially ones that show my cleavage. I’m very comfortable with my body (although I’ll have moments when I’m insecure about my stomach).

I wore black flats to match with the black part of my bodysuit. White would’ve been too much and my pink flats just didn’t match with my skirt so black was the best option. I’m obsessed with lace up flats!

I think this night was a success!

I hear New Orleans is an awesome city! It sounds like everyone had a memorable time with all the festivities for your sister. I wish I could fit into clothes from my early twenties (lucky) Haha. Pink and stripes is always a great color/pattern combo! Congrats to your sister!
