I’m usually in New York by myself but this time around, I was with my family. It was a girls trip including the little baby. It was her first time in New York and I know she’s not going to remember this but we just wanted to get her a head start on traveling and road tripping.
I really love this outfit. It’s so cute and it makes me stand out. Of course, the skirt is long and black but I love the way I paired the top up with one of the colors of the skirt. The color combo is chef’s kiss and I’m obsessed with the outfit. Thankfully the skirt did not dangle on the floor so I didn’t have to worry about it touching the dirty grounds of New York but I also wasn’t suffocating in it either. it was like 90° out but thankfully I wasn’t too hot. The skirt actually protected me from the sun and I think that’s why everyone recommends wearing layers when it’s hot out because it protects you from being burned and tanning, so I need to start doing that more often.
It was a whole lot of walking. I think I walked like 10,000 steps this day but in general, I really love my outfit. I felt so beautiful and confident. And I loved my time in New York and I hope that I do accomplish my dreams of moving to New York and my family visiting me all the time. I also can’t wait until my niece is all grown up so I can show her more of New York.
In general, it was so much fun in New York with my family and I love this outfit.
