I know you’ve seen it all over TikTok and Social Media, but you absolutely need fleece lined tights. They will make you warm while simultaneously looking cute!

I know for POC, it is difficult to find tights in our shade complexion. Believe me, I know. I’ve been making TikToks about it haha.

But you can stay warm and stylish during the winter. What has worked for me might not be ideal for you but this is how I do it. I bought tan-skin tights from Amazon and layered it with tights from Primark. I know, I know. That’s a lot of layering but it works for me and keeps me warm.

To avoid elasticity in the toes, I recommend buying sheer tights (that you’ll put over your fleece lined tights) in a size or two bigger. When you’re pulling your tights up, leave space near your feet area. I also recommend wearing socks a size or two bigger than your normal size as well, because it leaves room for your toes without the elasticity building up while keeping you warm and toasty!

If possible, buy tights in your shade that’s close enough to you. The tights I’m wearing in the photos below are not my shade at all but the sheer tights on top make it look similar and like it is my complexion. This is the best way to do the fake sheer tights trend because not many companies have shades for every person unfortunately. This is how I personally do it! Opened to feedback of course.

The actual fleece-lined tights are not thick. I usually wear in 40, sometimes 35 degree weather but nothing lower than that. I recommend finding a thicker version but these haven’t failed me so far!

And of course, the reason people wear fleece-lined tights is so we can wear dresses and skirts in the winter while still being warm! I hate wearing pants so you already know I’m in dresses and skirts all year.

What are your fashion hacks that help you stay warm and stylish during the winter?

Thanks for reading.
