Lily de Mai Multi-Purpose Cleanser/Face Mask Review

Bringing Lily de Mai back! I was obsessed with their facial mist last month so this month, I received the opportunity to try out their cleanser/face mask. If you all are interested in reading my previous review, you are more than welcome to, just click HERE.

I was able to try out the multi-purpose cleanser/face mask, also known as the calming cream cleanser. It is basically perfect for revealing fresh, vibrant, purified skin and wash away the day’s impurities with extra gentle RENEW restorative, calming cream cleanser. It is a blend of organic Shea Butter, Argan, and Avocado oils that nourish skin and support the protective skin barrier. It contains Panthenol and this is basically a powerful humectant, attracting and holding essential moisture to the skin. Applied regularly it has been found to soothe dry, irritated skin and accelerate the production of collagen. It also helps to support and reinforce the protective skin barrier. It also has Allantoin and this is a constituent of the Comfrey plant, Allantoin is a highly regarded skin calming and strengthening agent. It promotes cell turnover, improves skin tone and enables skin to absorb more moisture and nutrients. This product also has a Soothing Botanical Blend which is blend of Organic Aloe, Calendula, Chamomile and Oat extracts. These traditional herbs are renown for their skin hydrating, calming and nourishing properties. This product is also soap and surfactant-free, non-drying, supremely gentle and thoroughly effective, a perfect daily cleanser for sensitive skin.

To use this product, you just apply a quarter-sized amount onto wet or dry skin. Work gently into skin using fingertips, light pressure, and circular motions. Rinse with cool water or tissue off, as preferred. For a hydrating cleansing mask apply to dry skin and shower. Let warm steam and moisture open pores and soften skin for 3-5 minutes. Rinse with cool water or tissue off.

I use this as a cleanser. I applied the product on dry, clean skin so it felt like I was putting lotion or moisturizer on my face. The product is very soft but it is thick so you do feel the product on your face. But it wasn’t irritating. I liked that it worked well with my skin. I’m not used to thick cleansers so this was new to me but I ended up liking the product. After applying the product to my dry skin, I did wash it off about 3-5 minutes later. It didn’t make my skin dry so I do think it does a great job at hydrating and cleaning my skin. I was able to wipe off all of the excessive dirt and leftover makeup off my face, so I really like it. I also like the packaging because we all know how I feel about the color pink. It’s cute and I love using this product. For anyone with sensitive skin, this product is great because it didn’t hurt my skin whatsoever.

In general, I really like the brand and product and definitely recommend.
