Ojai Sugar : Petals Travel Collection Review

Another brand introduced to me by Palm!

I adore the name of this brand, Ojai Sugar. I just think it’s a fun name and it’s also based from where they are from, Ojai, California. The founder of the brand, Bernadette King is a Californian Native and has lived in Ojai for 35 years. She was always interested in skincare and how to maintain one’s health inside and out with a minimalist approach. The mission of this brand is to give their customers a clean, natural skincare and they’ve succeeded in doing so since 2010. Their brand is made of unique hand-poured blends of restorative plant based ingredients with therapeutic grade essentials inspired by the beauty and diversity of Ojai and California. They also ethically source the best quality all natural and wild crafted ingredients from suppliers that partner with growers that incorporate sustainable practices in the growing and processing of their plant-based materials. These ethical practices help to ensure the quality and efficacy of their products.

I was able to try out their Petals Facial Oil and their Facial Water.

Their Petal Facial Oil restores moisture and balance. They have restorative oils that will illuminate and transform from the inside out to create a healthy and natural glow. These oils work in concert to address the needs of all skin types: dry, oily, sensitive, mature, acne-prone, including inflamed conditions such as rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.

I adore this facial oil. I use this facial oil every night. I used to hate facial oils in the past because they made me oily and greasy but I’ve learned quickly to embrace the oils. This product specifically doesn’t make me oily or greasy. It hydrates my face without being irritating or annoying. I put about 2-5 drops in my face and I honestly don’t even feel the product on my face. The product in general isn’t too lightweight or heavyweight but it does absorb in to my skin easily and quickly. I love the glow that I have after I use it. My skin looks alive and radiant! I get oily in the summer and slowly, the weather is getting colder so my face is slowly starting to get dry. This oil does a great job with making my skin look alive, beautiful and glowy. I also like how it doesn’t make me too oily either.

As for the facial water, it is meant to hydrate, tone and refresh. It has a hibiscus extract which is meant to even skin tone. It’s also rich in antioxidants and the product helps to purify and control breakouts. It’s perfect for all skin types. The hydrosols of rose and geranium are meant to lift the spirit and balance oily/dry skin with anti-aging properties, chamomile to soothe and calm, helichrysum/immortelle to heal inflamed skin conditions and, neroli to refresh and tone. This product is meant to help heal acne, ecezema and psoriasis.

I like that this facial water works well with my oily skin but also my dry skin. It works really well with my sensitive skin. I’m currently breaking out because the weather keeps changing so this product helps with my acne and doesn’t hurt my scars whatsoever either. I love that it absorbs quickly into my skin and I don’t have to wait more than a couple minutes for it to dry. I do switch between mists every other day, so I don’t use this mist every day but I do use it a few times a week. And I’ve been loving it so far.

DISCLAIMER: These products are in collaboration with Ojai Sugar and Palm but all opinions are of my own and as always, completely honest.
