Staying Warm and Neutral in DC

Staying Warm and Neutral in DC

Before the keshi concert in DC, I decided to look for a cafe to work out of and I didn’t really want to dress up. I just wanted to be cute and comfy.

I have worn this outfit before, as seen in this blog post and this instagram post. I decided to take photos at the hotel with this outfit anyway because why not.

I knew I was going to be at the cafe for hours so I wanted something warm and practical to wear. This sweater is not my size. I bought it in an XL years ago to wear as a sweater dress. If I bought this in my size in XS, it would have been a regular sweater but I wanted to wear this as a dress.

I just paired this sweater with leggings. I didn’t feel like wearing tights because again, I wanted to be warm and comfortable at the cafe.

This cafe was a 10 minute walk from my hotel. I ended up uber-ing because I didn’t realize how close the cafe was, haha. I googled the best cafes in DC to work from home from and this was in the top 5, so I just ubered there without thinking about it, and it turns out, it’s right next to my hotel. I should’ve just walked, haha.

It’s Mah-Ze-Dahr cafe. And it’s so cute! The wifi is somewhat slow but it’s a cute place to work, catch up with friends, kill time, and so forth. This location (in Arlington) gets extremely busy but that’s because it’s in a very high-paced area. I got to the cafe when it wasn’t busy and then, within 15 minutes, it got super busy. It gets very crowded and noisy so I don’t recommend if you want a nice, calm place to work at.

I only ordered an ice coffee and didn’t order any food, so I cannot confirm if the food is good, but they are well known for their bakery and their cute aesthetic.

Anyway, I paired this outfit with over the knee boots. I’ve worn these boots before in an old Instagram post and they are some of my fave boots! I need to wear them more often because I love the slouchy look and they’re so cute! Super easy to put on and take off. They have zippers on the side as well.

The color of the boots do not go well with my sweater but whatever, I needed an excuse to wear these boots again, and honestly, they are SO comfy. They are from Just Fab, and I highly recommend them.

Can’t wait to style these boots again!

Thanks for reading.

xoxo, Linda
