The Post Christmas Detox

We bet that you have already started to blame a lot of things on Christmas. The chocolate you’ve been eating? No bother, it’s Christmas. The money you’ve been spending that’s far over budget? No bother, it’s all in the name of a good Christmas. But there comes a time when your body and your mind begin to suffer, and depending on how long you’ve been using the Christmas excuse, you’ve probably already started to feel a bit meh. Because all of the drinking and all of the food does play havoc on our bodies, especially if we’ve not long finished our summer body mission and been on a health kick. But the last thing you need to be dealing with is that run down, weighed down, financially low feeling. So, we’re going to get you thinking about the post Christmas detox your body is going to so desperately need. You’ll be fueled by the new year new you, and before you know it you’ll be feeling on top of the world. So if you keep on reading, we’ll show you the detox we think will benefit you most.

Simple Spa Treatments

Simple spa treatments are more effective than they have ever been. The technology that spa treatments are now using, and the research some are backed with, means our bodies are benefiting more than ever. You don’t necessarily have to fork out a massive amount on spa days either. There are dedicated centers full of equipment such as all of the spa rooms you’d usually be used to finding, except it won’t be in a spa setting. A really good example of equipment that’s incredible at detoxing your body, is an infrared sauna. The infrared sauna health benefits stretch far and wide. They actively help to stimulate your lymphatic system, which detoxes your body by moving and dissolving all of the toxins floating around. A steam room is excellent for opening your pores, and again helping to detox. These two used hand in hand are an excellent treatment regime.

Easy Diet Changes

There’s no question that you won’t be able to change your diet this side of the year. But when the new year comes around, think about simple diet changes, rather than forcing a completely new diet upon yourself. Swap a bag of crisps or chocolate for a bowl of berries. Swap a microwave meal for one where you’ve actually followed the recipe. Get a takeaway every other weekend, rather than once a weekend or more. Simple diet changes like this will see you dropping a couple of pounds instantly.

Keep Your Purse Closed

Not exactly health related, but it definitely will help you with your mental health. This time of year, your purse is going to constantly be open. But in the new year, it’s so important to put plans on hold, and build up your savings again. As soon as the spring comes round, you could resume all plans and get back to the life you love to live
