2019 New Year’s Resolutions
Yes, I am one of those people who tries to make New Year’s Resolutions.
This time, I plan on making achievable goals or at least goals I can accomplish on a weekly or monthly basis.
I think people don’t continue on working their resolutions because they give themselves high goals and when they don’t accomplish them, they feel like they aren’t accomplishing anything.
So for next year, it’s fine to have high goals but give yourself monthly goals to help you achieve that goal. For example, if your biggest goal is to get a full time job, give yourself monthly goals to help you achieve that goal. So your end goal or New Year’s Resolution would be, “Get a full time job,” and then January’s monthly goals could be, “Look up 25 potential employers and jot down pros/cons.” February could be, “Fix resume and cover letters.” March could be, “Start apply to potential employers.” And so forth. Give yourself monthly goals to help you achieve that main goal.
It’s perfectly fine to give yourself small goals too because nothing feels better than feeling accomplished so it’s fine to have “easy, attainable goals.” Accomplishing a goal whether small or big is STILL an accomplishment.
For my New Year’s Resolutions, I won’t list them all but these are the main ones:
- Graduate with my Bachelor’s
- Get accepted and start Graduate School
- Get 10k followers on Instagram
- Get a full time job
- Earn 2x the amount I made in 2018 for 2019 in blogging/Instagram.
These are my main resolutions. If I don’t accomplish all of them, that’s okay but as long as I continue to strive to accomplish them, then I’ll be okay!
