We spend our teenage years growing into the body we think we will have for life, however having babies, illnesses, accidents and other life events can change that body and our beauty into something we don’t recognise. Self-acceptance and love aren’t always easy to come by. So here are a few confidence tips to boost your confidence. You’ll be on the path to clean skin and inner radiance in no time.

Learn who you are again

Sometimes we get so swept up with life events, drama, and living we forget to touch base with ourselves now and then. We can lose who we are so quickly. Sit down on a quiet afternoon, with a time slot you have set aside solely for this purpose.

Start thinking about what you’ve been doing lately. Let your mind wander to dreams you had, maybe hobbies you wanted to take up. Get a notepad, start writing about you. Try not to focus too much on individual aspects, just see what comes to the surface. One of the keys to self-esteem self-acceptance and confidence is a strong sense of self – and that starts by learning who you are.

What Fits – What Doesn’t

It might be time to clean out the closet, the draws and the wardrobes. There might be some clothes in there you are too small for now, you might have gained a few pounds, or you perhaps made those purchases when you had grand ideas about wearing a fuchsia pink silk catsuit. While doing this, it is a perfect time to go through your underwear drawer too, clear out bras that don’t fit correctly – get measured by a professional and buy new good quality ones. Throw out any damaged or frayed clothing and underwear too.

Think of this time as cleaning out the closet, and only keeping the items you truly love.  

Color, Contour and Correct

Check your makeup bag. Pay close attention to the length of time you have had the makeup in there. Now is the time to throw anything out that is beyond its best. Makeup and skincare products tend to have a clear month indicator on the bottom corner, from the moment it is open, to when it should be thrown out. Give yourself a budget and head to your local department store, hit one of the beauty counters and tell them you are hoping for a new look. Be clear, tell them if you want nudes, bright, or ultra-glam. This about doing what will make you feel best. Don’t be scared to physically change what you don’t like – haircuts, eyebrows and nails. Drink Water, Sleep Well

These are the very starting point for getting clear, bright skin and clear eyes. Sleeping well keeps your energy levels topped up, giving you way more kick to get through your day. Love yourself enough to be hydrated, rested and happy. The difference becomes visible in a few short days – and who doesn’t love having clear skin?
