Come with me to a keshi Concert in Philly on 3/12/23

This is round 4 of my keshi concerts.

So, I left my hotel in DC at 7:45am to catch my Peter Pan bus to Philly. The bus left at 8:30am. There was traffic and a detour when we got there so I didn’t get out of the bus until 11:45am. It was fine because my hotel was literally right next door! A 3 min walk.

I went to the hotel and asked them if I could drop off my luggage and come back, but I ended up being able to check in early! Dropped off my luggage and went to the dimsum place right across the street. It was very disappointing and did not have all the dimsum foods I wanted. I ended up not finishing and bringing the rest home.

I was so tired because I did not sleep well the night before and plus, it was Daylight Savings, so I lost an hour! I took a quick nap and then, around 2:30pm, I got ready, took photos, and took content.

I ended up leaving the hotel around 4:15pm and got to the venue at 4:30pm where there was a huge line. I asked two of the girls there for help and they said it was just one big line, since I have VIP.

I stood in line people watching and staying on my phone until they separated the line at 5PM. Then, meet & greet VIP went in to check in and get our VIP goodie bag.

I ended up talking to some people in line and they were the sweetest and so outgoing. Included me and talked to me and as always, I was older than that. Keshi ended up pushing the meet and greet to after the show so I was annoyed but I just hung out with the people I met. They all met him multiple times and I told them it was my first time meeting him and that I was so nervous. And they all reassured me that he’s so nice and to not be nervous, that he introduces himself to everyone and is so friendly so that made me less nervous!

Then, right before 7, we were shown inside the actual venue and we all ran to the stage. I made it second row!! And the friends I made stood near me to.

Keshi came on to soundcheck. He performed 2 of his songs and then a cover, which he said will be released soon. He was so good and I kept forgetting how small he is! Haha.

Then, the line for everyone opened and the venue quickly got full. It was sold out to 4,200 people. A random girl pretended to know me to cut people in line and she got in between the group I was in. I didn’t mind. She was by herself and I felt bad so I talked to her a bit. The guy in front of me is going to more keshi shows than me! He got bored and opened up his Ticketmaster account and scrolled all the way down, and I counted all the tickets. I think he’s going to 16-18 shows altogether! I thought my 14 shows were a lot, and he has meet-and-greets for every show! Where do you work and are they hiring, haha. I’m jealous.

I finally saw both opening acts live. James Ivy was the first and his presentation (his outfit) was lacking a bit haha. He performed I think 5-7 songs and he was pretty good live. Not interested in his music but he is a good performer.

Weston Estate came on shortly after and they were so energetic and kept the crowd alive. I really like them and thought they did phenomenal. I may check their music out.

Then, keshi came on right around 9:35pm and I was squished and felt smothered and my legs were hurting, but anything for keshi. It was so surreal seeing him from second row, though the girl in front of me blocked my view a little bit because I’m so short.

I made eye contact with keshi a few times haha but I got lost in the music and had so much. I was dancing and could not believe I was seeing keshi SO CLOSE. He’s so small but I love his presence. He’s very engaging with the crowd and uses the entire stage to make sure every angle has a view of him. He has great stage presence. I had so much fun and was so sad when the concert ended.

But I did have meet and greets so I waited with the other meet and greet VIPs and we were off to meet keshi. I was so nervous but I had a talking point now – mention his performance haha. I’ll make a blog post about my experience meeting him.

I finally left the venue at 12:15am and headed to my hotel. I showered, packed and knocked out at 1am.

This was my first time meeting keshi. Though originally disappointed, it was a fun time regardless. I hope the people I met had fun too haha.

Thanks for reading.

xoxo, Linda
