The 20/20/20 Rule

Maintaining sound eye health requires adhering to the 20/20/20 Rule, which indicates that you should do the following:

  • Every 20 minutes, take your sight away from your computer monitor and fix it on an object at least 20 feet distant from your current location.
  • Blink 20 times in a row to keep your eyes from becoming dry.
  • Once every 20 minutes, get up and walk around the room for 20 steps. The benefits of doing so go beyond improving your vision; they also include promoting healthy posture and blood circulation throughout the body. And, it helps you stay active and avoid being sedentary.
