My biggest tip is to play with the lighting. You don’t want to take photos directly in front of the sun because it will cause a really bad shadow and you don’t want to stand right in front of the sun because it might blind you and you might make weird faces in your photos. Of course that’s the best time to have the best photos. I recommend to have half of your body facing the sun and the other half not facing the sun so that way, you’re not too blinded by the sun and you’re still achieving the golden hour look. Of course, your photographer has to back away so that way the shadow is not in the photo as well. It is something you have to play with, but again, it is super easy to take photos during golden hour. It’s the best time to take selfies but if you’re into full body shots, it is something you have to play around with. Your photographer is going to have to move around so that way there’s no shadow in the photo or that your face doesn’t look too squinty from the sun. It is something you do have to move around a lot, but the outcome will be worth it.

I love taking photos during golden hour, because with the right lighting, there is minimal edits. I never have to edit much when golden hour hits because the lighting just hits your face perfectly and you never have to overedit. The only time I edit my photos during Golden hour is when I want certain colors to pop, but when I do that, it’s very minimal edits. I recommend taking photos during golden hour because it really captures the beauty of things and the lighting is just too perfect to not take a photo.

The last post was taken during golden hour and I am obsessed with the outcome. I am so obsessed with how my sister played with the lighting. I completely recommend playing around with Golden hour or at least playing around with the sun in the photo. It’s gonna be so much fun.
