Let me save you the trouble: I am using 4 journals for daily to’s/social media, scrapbooking, content planning, and a personal private journal.

Now let me get in depth. First, I just want to say that I have a ton of unopened and unused journals so these are the ones I’ve finalized and am using for 2023.

Here is the first journal or planner. It is called the 2023-2024 “Molang Rabbit” Diary Any Year Weekly & Monthly Planner Pocket Journal Notebook Agenda Scheduler

I researched for weeks about what planner I wanted and stumbled across this on Amazon. It took two weeks to get here and I missed the first week of January but nonetheless, I am obsessed with it. It is a Korean planner and has so many cute doodles on it. Plus, it’s in my fave color.

The planner has the 2023 and 2024 calendars but it is undated. I also like that it is undated because I can decorate it however I want. So it is your typical planner. It contains a yearly calendar a monthly calendar and then all the weekly layouts for you to use.

So I use this planner specifically as my daily to-do’s and as my social media planner. This planner contains tasks that I need to do, posts that I need to post on every social media platform and basically just personal information. I have a few trips coming up, so I also have flight details and information like that on this planner. I also have important to do’s listed, like paying my bill, call the bank and things like that. So it is a personal planner but also a social media planner at the same time. I know everyone says to have two separate ones but I just found it to be more convenient to have it both together.

So I have only been using this planner for a week now. Don’t get me wrong, I love this planner. It’s so cute. It’s definitely my personality and my favorite color but after using it for a week, I realized that it is a little too small. I do write a lot. I like to use my planners as a personal diary as well. So for those of you who like to write a lot, keep that in mind, but if you are minimalistic and you don’t use your planner as a personal diary and you just use it to jot little things like appointments and things like that, then this planner is definitely the one for you. If you want a planner that lets you be more creative and lets you use your own calligraphy and your own pens and markers and things like that, then this is definitely the planner for you, but if you want a planner that’s more functional and has all the dates and it just has all the basic requirements that you need in a planner, then this might not be the one for you. It does have the yearly calendar for 2023 and 2024 but that’s about it. You have to plug in all the dates yourself.

I ended up finding another planner online that I really liked but I don’t want this planner to go to waste so I do plan on using it for the rest of the year or forcing myself to use it for the rest of the year and then next year we’ll switch to the planner that I found. Hopefully it is still in stock by next year but what I also like about this planner is that it’s very compact and small, so if you don’t want to lounge around a big backpack or a big purse and you just want to throw it in a small little purse, this planner is perfect because it is small.

I also want to say that the pages are very thin and see through, so if you use a marker, it will show on the other side and bleed through. Even if you use pens, you can still see it on the other side. It personally doesn’t bother me too much, but if you’re very particular with that, it does show, so I wouldn’t recommend it if it bothers you. It personally doesn’t bother me. I don’t really care if the pens and markers show through on the next page. I don’t really care if it bleeds a little. All I care about is that I don’t use pens or markers that smudge, that’s my biggest concern, so if it bothers you, I don’t recommend it. It doesn’t bother me so I’m still going to continue using it. My markers do show and bleed through but I’m okay with it.

It also comes with one sheet of stickers and it does have a little envelope at the back of the planner and the front of the planner. They’re clear folders, so you can definitely keep your stickers there or any scrapbook paper or anything loose that you definitely still want to keep. Then, of course, it has the closure to close your planner. They did have one that doesn’t have the closure but I personally wanted the closure so that way I can keep my planner secured and because I just thought it  was cuter with the snap closure.

Next up for planners of 2023 is this cute little black planner. It’s called the Cute Aesthetic Korean Customizable Daily Black Planner Undated

It is undated and I bought it off Amazon. It’s considered a Korean planner and I use it purposely for scrapbooking and journaling. I print out a picture of everyday and then just journal what I did for the day, no thoughts or anything. I just write down what I did that day, so that way I can look back and see what I did each day. It is bigger than the pink planner but it’s cute. I like it because it gives me enough space to put pictures to decorate it and to write about my days.

It is undated but they do date each day as day one, day two, day three, so if you don’t want to get confused on when March 10th is, you would have to label each day. So for example, the first day of the year is of course going to be January 1st, and it is undated so it doesn’t say like Monday January 1st, you have to go write that in yourself, so this year January 1st was on a Sunday so I marked it myself, Sunday January 1st for day one. But it is undated so it won’t say the days of the week and won’t say the month so you can actually start it whenever you want. I started purposely on day one so that way I didn’t confuse myself, but again you can start it any day you want. Day one can be the very first day that you started the journal. It could be March 31st as day one. Use it however you want but I did it according to the dates and aligned with the year.

The pages are a little thick. It is definitely thicker than the pink journal. But it will bleed or show on the next page if you use a marker or a felt pen, but it doesn’t bother me too much. It doesn’t bleed completely, you can just see it a little bit on the next page.

Also the calendars are all in the beginning pages of the book, so you know how in a regular planner, it will go January and then the weeks for January, February and then the weeks for February? So this planner is different. It does a yearly calendar and then all 12 months and then you get to your daily weekly planner. I thought that was a little weird but I’m fine with it. I understood why they did it because they don’t do it by weekly, they’re doing it by days, so that makes sense but if that bothers you, I don’t recommend this planner. It personally doesn’t bother me because again, I use it as a Daily Journal and scrapbook, so I personally like it. It does not bother me but just a heads up about the layout and that it kind of bleeds through if you use markers.

But the pages are pretty thick and I thought the planner was a hardcover, but it is not. It is not a hard cover. It does have a plastic cover to protect the actual cover but it is not a hardcover. It bends so definitely be careful. I might not repurchase this for next year. I might find a hardcover planner because I do genuinely love hardcovers, but it’s so hard to find a cute hardcover planner that has everything I want and need, so this will do for now as a scrapbook planner.

Because the planner comes with a plastic cover, you can use the covers as an envelope to store your stickers and scrapbook paper, but if you don’t like the plastic cover, you can also take it off, but it does take away the envelope function. I personally like the plastic cover because it keeps my planner secured and safe. I also like the cover because it says good things are coming because good things ARE coming.

Now for the third journal I’m using for 2023.

So this planner is actually a journal that I received at a Sabrina Carpenter concert. I had VIP and this was one of the gifts that was in the VIP gift bag.

The lines are pretty big so it’s good for people who write big. I personally write big so I like having the big lines but I also like having the small lines because it forces me to write small, but in general, it doesn’t bother me.

I use this notebook as a content notebook, meaning I use it to go in-depth with what content I’m planning for TikTok and Instagram. I write down ideas and then I write down how I’m going to execute it, so I do go in depth in this notebook with all my content because obviously I can’t do that in my daily planner because it’s so small and doesn’t have lines and pages for me to be able to do that daily. So I do use this notebook daily and weekly because I am constantly thinking of ideas to create and I am constantly creating content every week so I use the notebook every week.

You can find a similar journal like this anywhere. I personally got it as a gift at a concert but you can definitely buy it at Target, TJ Maxx, Staples, anywhere. I like that the cover of the notebook is just a line of her song, which I’m so obsessed with and I really like how it has a little bookmark for me to keep in place of where I am and it also has a little cover to close the book and to keep it secured. So I really do like that it also comes with a little envelope at the back so in case you have any scrap paper or anything you want to keep you can definitely keep that in the back.

Now, for the final journal I’m using in 2023.

So I received this journal as a Christmas present from my supervisor. It’s definitely the biggest Journal out of the four but it’s also my favorite and in my opinion, the cutest. The edges of the paper are gold foil and I really like that. It’s my favorite and it’s really cute. It’s a hardcover Journal, which I’m obsessed with, because I love hard covers. It comes with a little bookmark but it does not come with envelopes so you cannot store your scrapbook paper or stickers. I also like the artwork on the journal. It’s a bunch of trees and nature.

I personally use this journal as a diary to document my feelings because I tend to ignore my feelings, so this is going to help me to write down my feelings and process them. I haven’t used it yet but I do plan on using it this year.

I think my supervisor got it at TJ Maxx so you can definitely try checking out their journals there or you can go to Target or Staples or anything like that, but I am obsessed with it, and I am going to bring it everywhere with me in hopes that I document my feelings.

These are the journals I’m using in 2023 and what they are for.

Do you use planners or journals? If so, what are they for?

Thanks for reading.

xoxo, Linda
