Transcending Waves Planner

Most of you guys know that I am a planner addict. I carry a huge planner with me everywhere I go and it includes everything: school, internships, blogging, content creation, Instagram, and work. It got to the point where I was confusing my work duties with my blogging duties and decided maybe it’s time that I have a separate work planner.

Transcending Waves was so thoughtful in sending their planner out to me. I have the one in blue but there is also a black version as well. The cover is hard cover and leather material. It honestly reminds me of a book but a better one (haha). It also has a bookmark string in it so that I never lose my place.

I’ll show you guys the pages before and after I decorated them. My planner is currently still plain because I am in the process of adding more stickers and colors to them.

This planner is amazing for anyone who likes jotting down their thoughts and ideas and keep tracking of how their goals are.

I can’t wait to show you guys!

Everything is undated! I love this because I don’t have to worry about waiting until a specific month. I just used this day planner right away. We’re in the month of April so I started this planner in April.

This planner starts off with a monthly spreadsheet where I wrote down the dates and added a few things to it. I just added a couple photos and a few things that I’m excited about. You, of course, can add more things to it than I did. You can give yourself goals to accomplish, things you’re saving for, skills to develop and things like that. My spreadsheet is plain right now but I will be adding stickers and color to it like I do with my other planner.

After the monthly spread, there is a weekly hourly spread. I use this mainly to keep track of when exactly I’m at work. (Photo isn’t shown of how I highlight it.) Sometimes, I make up hours that I’ve missed because of vacation so I’ll mark down on my planner that I’m staying later. On my actual spreadsheet, I highlight when exactly I’m in the office so it lets me know what hours I’m not free. These spreadsheets are also a good way to give yourself weekly goals to accomplish and things you need to do.

Afterwards, you get daily morning/nightly pages. Basically, after every weekly spreadsheet, there are 7 daily pages and then a weekly page and then 7 pages for that week & so forth. That sounded completely confusing but every time you see a weekly spreadsheet, that’s a reminder for you that it’s the start of a new week.

I have my weeks start out on a Sunday. Most calendars start on a Monday and end on a Sunday but with my planner, I specifically started my weeks on a Sunday. Because this is my work planner, I left Sunday empty but on the next page, I have my Monday morning plan and Nightly review. The morning plan contains lists of things you need to do, what you’re excited about, etc. As for the nightly review, you just recap what happened today and if you accomplished your goals, etc.

I’m still in the process of decorating my planner but I basically write down my every day tasks that I need to do. I try to check it off after I’m done and I’ll also write the date and the hours I work as well. I try to give myself daily goals as well.

For the nightly review, I haven’t used this part much but I do try to recap my days.

After the end of the week before your new weekly spreadsheet, there is a weekly review where you recap on your week. I wrote more after I took these pictures just because I do treat this planner as a journal and so, I didn’t want my personal feelings out there.

There are also monthly review pages and notes sections for you to reflect and recap on your month. It isn’t the end of the month for met yet so those pages are blank.

For those of you who love to write and keep a journal, this is for you. This planner helps me to stay on track of things I need to do at work but it also helps me to give myself goals and stay accountable. I also love how I can get personal and write down things about how I feel. If you love a dual planner + journal, this is the right planner for you. I love to write so I like keeping a journal-planner.

Although this is my “work” planner, I do use it for personal reasons like jotting down my feelings, thoughts and ideas. I mainly use it for work but it helps me to keep track of what I need to do for myself, like goals that I give myself daily and weekly.

If you don’t want to “answer” the tabs and questions that they have, you don’t have to! For one spread (not shown), I took stickers and covered a couple of the “tabs” and just wrote whatever and use it to benefit me. So if you don’t want to use the prompts that they have written, that’s fine. You can also cross it off and write your own. I do “answer” the prompts but sometimes, I use a sticker to cover it up and write my own to-do list or categories.

I adore the magnetic closing strap and how it keeps my planner together. I absolutely love this planner in general because it helps me to stay on top of my work duties while I can also doodle and write on my “slow” hours.
